Building Power. Advancing Justice.
Aagaz works with Dalit women, youth and socially marginalised communities to strengthen leadership, build awareness of rights, develop skills and expand access to learning and opportunities. We support communities to participate meaningfully in decisions that affect their lives, strengthen their voice and agency, pursue greater economic independence, and advance dignity, equality and social justice.
We strengthen the confidence, leadership skills and collective voice of Dalit women, youth and marginalised communities. Through training, mentoring and peer learning, we support them to participate meaningfully in decision-making, lead within their communities and build collective power for lasting social change.
We support survivors of caste- and gender-based violence through legal assistance, access to social protection and welfare services, psychosocial support, safety planning and rehabilitation. We work alongside survivors to strengthen their agency, access to justice and ability to rebuild their lives with dignity.
We support individuals and communities to understand and exercise their legal rights through legal counselling, court support and community-based rights awareness. We strengthen access to justice and support people to protect their rights, dignity and entitlements.
We strengthen awareness of rights, education, health, social protection schemes and livelihood opportunities. Through community outreach, learning sessions and accessible information, we enable people to understand their entitlements, access essential services and make informed decisions that strengthen their dignity, well-being and opportunities.
We strengthen skills and capacities through leadership development programmes, specialised training, exposure visits and practical learning opportunities. We support individuals and community leaders to develop their communication, writing, documentation and organisational skills, enabling them to participate effectively, lead initiatives and create meaningful change.
We document community experiences and emerging issues through research, documentation and field-based learning. We develop and share evidence-based reports and insights to strengthen awareness, inform programmes and support positive social change.
We engage with government institutions and relevant stakeholders to strengthen awareness, coordination and effective implementation of policies, programmes and services that benefit marginalised communities.
We support communities during emergencies and times of crisis by facilitating immediate relief, essential supplies, food, medical assistance and other necessary support. Our response aims to help affected individuals and families meet urgent needs with dignity and care.
Your time, skills and support can help expand opportunities for Dalit women and girls through vocational skills, legal literacy, education and leadership development. Together, we can strengthen dignity, agency and collective power for lasting social change.
