Empowering Dalit & Marginalized Women
Aagaz Foundation Trust was established in 2019 by a collective of grassroots social activists who have dedicated over 25 years to challenging caste oppression, patriarchy, and gender-based discrimination. Registered under the Public Trusts Act of 1959, Aagaz emerged from a deep commitment to justice, equality, and human dignity.
Aagaz is Dalit-led with a strong feminist foundation where 75% of trustees are women, including senior leadership. To date, Aagaz has worked directly and indirectly regarding caste and gender-based violence, legal rights advocacy, and systemic injustice.
“True empowerment begins when a woman gains the knowledge of her rights, economic self-reliance, and the freedom to lead her community with dignity.”
We train, mentor, and support local community leaders and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to ensure every woman achieves financial independence and legal security.
